I believe it's a bank/credit union...if it's what's going in across from South Bay shopping center on Mass Ave, no?
 
It is,but I think he meant the steel construction w/the crane

That's what I thought initially, but that garage in the background is definitely Crosstown center. They must be really hauling with the steel.

Yes, it was about five or six stories and was torn down last fall. I swim and go to the gym at the South End Fitness Center across the street and I've watched its progress almost daily since the project began. The top of crane is visible through the natatorium windows, and steelwork is going up quickly, so I think that the frame will soon be visible too.
 
^ LOL. Sadly this is across the street from the future Newmarket commuter rail stop. So...yeah, not exactly a model of TOD.

the poster is of a building at the beginning of Mass ave 2 different buildings I should have noted that!
 
Not to be splitting hairs but this development and the one in the poster are both in Dorchester.
 
Are u sure? I was always told the line started at mass ave in edward everett Sq?
 
Doesn't it depend on what side of the Fairmount Line you're on (closer to E E Sq on Mass Ave would be Dot and towards BMC would be Roxbury)?

These things are always arguable, but I'd go with this definition. I never thought of Roxbury going all the way to E.E. square, and the old fire insurance maps support it.

It's almost entirely true...the old town line was roughly where the commuter rail line is.
 
New, multistory brick apartment buildings taking over vacant lots warm my heart more than any skyscraper.
