Quick question, who buys/maintains the café tables and chairs shown here, in the Greenway, along the Harborwalk (saw a pic today in the Pier 4 Office Tower thread), etc. This type of furniture is so welcomed by so many!
 
^^^ Could it be maintained by the people who operate the District Office (BGI)?
 
It is maintained/operated by WS Development (they bought out BGI).
Green space on between water and Northern Ave is maintained by Fan Pier.

Greenway is the Conservancy.

Harborwalk (I believe) is the direct abutter of that respective section of the Haborwalk.
 
All it's missing is a Friends marathon playing on a big outdoor screen.
 
Hmmm very valid point on war memorials. Theyre not exactly intended as spots to lay out on the ground, play with your dog, eat lunch, theyre intended as a place to do ceremonies and to pay respect to the fallen. So for that this works. Its not finished yet it still has about a quarter to go including a very nice museum with pretty interesting architecture.

It can and will grow in. They just remove a couple pavers as the trunks get bigger like anywhere else. Theyre trees, they grow. Theres rocks around the bottom where the trunks can get pretty wide.
