A lot of western Europe from what I've seen. We can copy the architecture but our roads are too wide. What's hilarious is that this development has alleys yet they still require roads wide enough for parking on both sides! Ridiculous.

Wow - I hate 14 Townhouses (State St) so much. A cross between a brownstone - out of which all the charm has been value-engineered - with an offensive PoMo office building.

The fact that developments like this are treated like a trendy novelty (similar to the Mass Ave residence by BMC) really says something.

You are certainly in the minority. Those are wildly popular and many wish the dram development that's been thrown up in Brooklyn over the last decade could be more like them.

You think development in Boston is boring? I'd take boring over offensive and cheap (Williamsburg) any day.
