The plain white exposed mech screen on the front of this thing is a real aesthetic killer... it's kind of worse than the Millenium Tower open roof because it's so visible compared to the Millenium Tower one only being visible from 93N.

I might still be "educating" but it could have been taller, if not the tallest. The FAA limit was about 775'.

I was meaing more that, while I'm not supertall-obsessed, having this design at significant height (900 ft? more?) and representing the pinnacle of Boston's skyline would have been stunning.

I love what we have -- just imagining what it could have been in a fantasy scenario.

So to clarify, I've followed this project from the time it was first proposed, about a dozen years ago (long before HYM's involvement). I see the folks from HYM often (at meetings about Suffolk Downs) and have cultivated a relationship with them. They're pretty forthright compared to many developers I've interacted with in the past. I've been told that the steel for the office tower has indeed been purchased, and that they're "getting close" on an anchor tenant (but who would even know how to assign value to "getting close").
