Beeline -- another excellent job of documenting a significant building project

Soon this one will be easy for me to follow from the 6th floor of the MOS as of now all I can see is the crane's boom

So 50 Sudbury and Causeway soon will pass the baton
to Winthrop Sq, Alcott, and Post Office Square....

This thing needs to hurry up. So awesome that the hub on causeway/nst are still getting 2 more neighbors. This tower is really going to make a huge impact pulling the new skyline out much farther right as you cross the zakim.

Its a pretty tight cluster right now, but this tower will spread it out more creating a whole northern edge of the skyline vs just a cluster at the garden. That plus one congress will be visible too and possibly even stick up even higher adding even more to the cluster, and really integrating this into the rest of the skyline.

The first few floors are likely going to be a while, with such a uniquely large and (like most tower bases) somewhat complex floorplate. After that, I don't see a reason this won't shoot up as fast as comparable towers.

^^^^^ It took me a second to orient myself on this one....it has been so long for me. My memories of this corner are with this all blotted out by hulking Greenline tracks.

That photo gives me the same vibe someone mentioned about the view of the Omni at the Seaport from South Station, the idea that the city continues on and doesn't just end at a specific point. This tower's going to help that feeling from this vantage point.

If only something could be done with the Nashua St. Jail, then we'd really be cooking.

Coming soon: shock and awe as it rises, and rises, and rises.
People who don't closely follow development will soon get a front row view.

And the MGH Spaulding parking lot adjacent to the CR tracks. Many more acres of potential urbanity here, with great transit access

Isn't the T eying the space next to the CR tracks for potential future North Station expansion and a 3rd Drawbridge?

Could, of course, develop over those tracks. Process could even help pay for the expansion.

Looks to me like there isn't any way to do that without demolishing some buildings. I have heard something about a third draw, but not anything about additional platforms.

Once the 11/12 tracks are reactivated (currently in RFP, already demarcated from the parking lot) the NS concourse won’t have realistic expansion options. Which is fine, because in a world where NS needs more than 12 platforms worth of capacity, the best option will likely be NSRL

Navigating this thread is a bit of mess, I guess the board hasnt figured out how to sticky renderings and vital info to an easily accessible spot. For those that forgot what the renderings look like, it seems the most recent are at post 832. Im curious how many parking spots are underground here? The tower looks to be a surprisingly small fraction of this big site

i believe the number was to be 830 parking spaces. The number was reduced from some number to "X" just prior to the meeting for final approval--possibly from 830 to 775.
