The silver exterior panels really compliment this building visually and it would not very attractive if it were all brick.

Even eight floors above the garage would work due to it's large footprint which is why I added the last photo to help visualize the height against 201 Federal.

I like the look of the masonry panel piercing the cornice but am assuming these panels will also require some sort of capping to avoid water penetration.

I like the look of the masonry panel piercing the cornice but am assuming these panels will also require some sort of capping to avoid water penetration.

They are designed like a parapet wall so they aren't going to cap the brick panels. Meant to look like they are piercing the cornice! ~ C

I too am curious about this as it appears from afar that there are no panels behind the tarps. Optical illusion?

But the crane's instagram page says it's hoisted its last section and the tower will "disappear" on May 22. Assuming it will come down in whole that day perhaps we should have an informal forum meetup?

That section appears to be directly adjacent to the crane, so I'm assuming something about the crane's location and how close the trolley on the jib can get to the tower prevents it from being able to install the panels there. The crane is also attached to the building in spots along that vertical section.

My guess is that the crane comes down and they finish those sections with a mobile crane.

Hi,
The "last panel" refers to the last to be installed by the tower crane. The crane will come down in late May. But the material hoists (elevators) on the outside of the building will remain until the interior elevators are complete and approved for operation (hopefully around August). Only then can the hoists will be removed, and a mobile crane will come to install the remaining panels on the west facade. You will see in the coming days, work on the granite and brick "base" facade will begin. Currently we are on track to complete the building and move-in our first tenants around the first of next year (Jan 2024).
