The Girard | 600 Harrison Ave | South End

That little guy? I wouldnt worry about that little guy.

2 things, terrible name and I'm not a fan of the interiors. Yellow hallways? Gross. That kitchen? Gross. I know theyre both in style but count me as not a fan. Outside looks decent so far though

Aaaaaaaand next door to a fire station. "Live brilliantly" as you are awoken at 3am to sirens blaring. No gracias.

You could live on top of the fire station.

Its a four-bay fire station, looks to be clad in red terra cotta. Second level is a squash complex, titled Squash on Fire: a $12 million, state-of-the-art, 20,000-square-foot indoor squash facility with eight courts and a full-service restaurant situated atop the fire station.

The architect is Enrique Norten of Ten Arquitectos

While I think the "random" window arrangement look is a bit played out, I do like the way the shadows give an interest texture to the wall panels.

The building is being renumbered as 50 Malden St.

I think I am going to leave the thread title for now. The new address is likely to confuse people and I doubt many folks here are going to be sending much stuff there via the post office.

That sidewalk experience leaves much to be desired. They went too neo-Modern with it.

The Girard? I hope the restaurant serves crepes.
I got into a little bit of hot water when I suggested that the tower planned for Dudley should be "gentrified" by black folk, so I am going to tread lightly here. Or maybe not. How gay can you get? There is absolutely nothing about 600 Harrison that is "Girard". I am sending my best friend (who happens to be a gay Cuban (and can make a mean crepe)), a copy of the application form for front desk dude(tte). Much love...the Girard (giggles).

Whoa...reading way more into it than I am. I was just trying to make a Talladega Nights reference!
