What a great building. This and 45 Province are both in my top 5 skyscrapers in Boston.
 
well, its nice, but i wouldn't go as far to put it in my top 5.

Really, I can't judge until they complete it and we get to see it when its in action.
 
Forgive my laziness for trying to track it down myself, but is any ground floor retail going in? Is the post office moving back?
 
Wow gorgeous building ... This is really coming together. I love the windows they seem elegant to me. Judging from the last shot it looks like the corner might very well be retail. Although if you look at the website renderings the ground floor lobby looks pretty generous.

The USPS takes up a little over half of the 2nd floor, with a restaurant taking up the northern 3rd of the floor. Units begin on the 3rd floor...

Thanks....and good to hear.....currently between the construction site on one side and the parking garage/Pike entrance on the other, its not exactly a pleasant pedestrian area....retail/the P.O. should help....now if they would just cap the Pike with a development ;)
 
This looks fantastic. Even better than the renderings, IMHO.

My sister who works at the Fairmont Copley and who couldn't care less about urban development or architecture has asked me a few times, "what that nice red building" is.

How can you live with that... that... ick! LMAO

It was so distracting, I didn't even know what I was supposed to be looking at. :p I dunno if I will ever be able to get used to that again.

Anyway, I've said this before, as have others, but this is a handsome building. Stern did good this time. Home run.
 
How dare you mock the charming, Currier & Ives landscape of wintertime New England.
 
02-27-09 Another pike pix,I need to get some one to hold the wheel so I can get this the way I see it everyday while driving into Boston! Hanging the camera out the window while looking straight ahead and going 60mph aint quite getting it lol!

This is another design that looks a lot better in the mock up than in reality...

The windows are friggin horrible

^ Answering my cell phone while driving which I do more often than take pix's has almost got me in trouble numerous times! I thank you for your concern :)
