Does anyone know of a photo (or where one can be taken if not with a drone) that replicates this famous before/after of the Big Dig?
It's used often in the online discourse around the benefits of removing highways but is laughably out of date for 2024- the trees have filled-in so much by now...
That intersection is forming up to be a very attractive little node of density, and the ground floor retail at 2 Alpine street is going to add a lot to it.
If they can find the right tenant(s) then I'm sure the area will buzz all year.
Does anyone know the status of the project to extend the Northern Strand trail to Nahant via Downtown Lynn? The latest I can find is that construction was "planned before the end of 2023", but I am assuming it has not even started yet due to the lack of chatter on it.

I sort of have the feeling that those involved in producing these types of renderings implicitly underestimate the true width of vehicle lanes, and then just scale the bike lanes until they look right.
