Quincy Market Update/Renovation | Faneuil Hall Marketplace | Downtown

I am not very hopeful the new operator will be any different. Isn't J Safra Ashkenazy’s lender and partner?

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

So you're not a skier? People fly non-stop to plenty of places from Boston that have terrible weather in the winter. There are so many places to travel to in the summer that I rarely hear of New Englander's going to British Columbia. And Banff and surrounding areas are absolutely gorgeous...

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

They should try it seasonally for winter and not summer. I know you have some Alaska cruise traffic but I rarely hear about Boston family or friends visiting Vancouver or BC in the summer.

Logan Airport Flights and Airlines Discussion

Unless you are connecting in YYZ (or they intend to vastly undercut the prices of Porter's flights to YTZ) I am not sure I understand the target market for these flights.

Lyrik Back Bay | 1001 Boylston Street (Parcel 12) | Back Bay

Boston would be Detroit or Newark if it existed only for people who live within the city limits. Might be the most absurd comment I've read in 18 years on this forum and I have lived both downtown and outside of the city (and lived through the "Rifleman years" on his forum).

Cool that you can see the football goalpost at Fenway in that pic.

    Newton Infill and Small Developments

I'm not sure "wrapping up" is the term I'd use. I happen to drive by the other day and there is a ton of exterior work left. I'll take the over on "opening spring 2024."

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

An Everett soccer stadium would rarely compete for concerts with TD Garden. Most TD Garden concerts are in the colder months when it would not be desirable to be outside for hours at night. Summer concerts in the 17,000+ capacity range are usually held at Fenway, Great Woods (yes that's its...

New England Revolution Stadium | 173 Alford Street | Boston-Everett

Are there really 100+ non Bruins/Celtics events at the Garden each year?

South Station Tower | South Station Air Rights | Downtown

I'm no pilot but I thought I read the FAA restrictions over the city were a safety issue in the event an engine goes out on take off and the plane cannot climb as rapidly as it typically would.

Bulfinch Crossing | Congress Street Garage | West End

Any chance this demo has taken so long that the powers that be (i.e. those with the $) have realized that a lab here is not the best use of this prominent space? I know it is a huge long shot but labs elsewhere are getting scraped or at least rethought.

The Natick Mall is doing just that with Level 99, Immersive Gamebox and Puttshack.

Agreed. He also routinely posts his (her?) thoughts in the Globe comment sections of articles on Boston development, especially Seaport/Fort Point development.

    Boston Children’s Hospital | 380 1st ave | Needham

Wow, way ahead of that posted schedule which does not have steel erection starting until November. They could be done in November. There must be a more recent schedule as this would be record breaking pace.

Any data to support that it underperforms? Or just anecdotal? Not criticizing, just curious.

Winthrop Center | 115 Winthrop Square | Financial District

A Food Hall Is Coming to the Winthrop Center in Downtown Boston Another food hall is on the way to Boston, and this one will be in the heart of the city. Based on information from a licensing board hearing page within the city's website and a post within the jobs section of bostonchefs.com...

Franklin Park - White Stadium Renovation

Doesn't it "have" to happen now? Would the principals have put up all that money for the franchise unless the stadium renovations were a go? Where else could they play?

Boston Landing | New Balance Complex | Brighton

I'm still mad they ditched the hotel which could have added some additional life to the area. Zero hotels walking distance from here, correct?
