This is very random, but I've had a little handheld whoopie cushion called the Pooter that I prank people with for years now and just recently I started up social media channels for this. I do a lot of walking around NYC and get upwards of a couple thousand people a day during the nicer weather periods, and I've started to develop a certain notoriety around certain neighborhoods in Manhattan lol.

Anyway now that I've basically gone public with this I just wanted to share with y'all and hopefully provide you with a chuckle or two.

  • The queues at the Guggenheim, Met, and Lincoln Center;
  • The 7 Train at 3AM;
  • Late-night on the MetroNorth platform;
  • The bar at the Lambs Club;
  • Mast Brothers

^ See, the problem with almost all those suggestions (they are great) is that they require me to venture north of 23rd street, an area I am loathe to visit. Greenwich Village and points south is where I prefer to do my damage.

I admit my thumbnail game is fire, but how else am I bringing down YouTube? I'm not doing this to be "a YouTuber" -- rather I've started the socials (@fartfairynyc! Smash that like button!!!) to legitimize the on-the-street interactions and give those people a place where they can keep in touch with me. I have no interest in chasing sub numbers or branching out into other pranks (that's a very slippery slope) and as I said in the initial post I've been doing this for years off the interwebs and only last month realized I needed to start up the socials to legitimize this as a sort of comedy brand.

And speaking personally, I'm a heavy user of YouTube (subbed to at least 200 channels and spend an hour or two on it each day), I see the direction it's headed in, and I resent said direction it's headed in. Both the company's policy changes and the ever-increasing number of people creating vacuous clickbait content are troubling. Low key fart pranks is my goal -- that's it!

You know what I think is hilarious? It can take around 30 minutes to get to Logan Airport via transit from Downtown Boston. That's about 10 minute shorter than it takes to travel from Sea-Tac to Downtown Seattle. Sea-Tac to Seattle by the way is about 12 miles apart. Logan from Boston is about 3 miles.

Just to show you that the benefit of having an airport in close proximity to downtown means nothing if the commute is terrible.

The point of this very high level analysis is that I hope that one day Logan Airport is moved further away in order to open up prime real estate in Boston while building an efficient infrastructure that can cut commute time to the airport.

It's quite an upgrade from the repurposed Costco the Rays currently occupy.
