^^^Good question. That came quick, got approved, and sort of disappeared.

I like the prewar building that is currently there better than Hancock's proposed building. I'm not upset that that stalled.

Any update on Suffolk Downs or the Wonderland dog track?

Does Vornado still own a percentage of Suffolk Downs?

edit: looked it up. They divested when it was in the running for a casino.

I'm hoping that Salesforce signs on to become the primary tenant for one Congress at Bulfinch crossing which is a good possibility since there are rumours that they want their own Boston tower.

Hmmmm, with all the talk about Wegman's not going into the Landmark Center, my question is...What's going on with the Landmark Center? Is Samuels waiting till Pierce is finished to begin? He does have lots on his plate.

end results unless still not finish?

Boston -- Looks as though the new owner -- "virtually turned the building 90 degrees" -- although its still listed as 125 Summer St.

-- the main entrance Now will open onto a plaza facing South Station and on the edge of the Greenway

in the old photo:
  • the Old entrance is recessed in the Roman Arch under the big Greek Temple [of a triad] on the right facing across at 100 Summer St.
  • The new entrance does away with the arch at street level but still keeps above it the pair of Greek Temples on the extreme Left in the picture

see the story from the BBJ in May

Prefer the original entrance

Boston -- Why??

The whole structure is / was such a Hodge-Podge -- there was / is nothing that connects[ed] things together

Now at least it is making a statement of trying to be a Greenway Building

The outdoor room will be a nice addition from May through most of October -- not sure about the rest of the year

Hopefully there will be a restaurant beyond the Starbucks [but not Palm-class] that will have people dining next summer al fresco
