🔹 What's Happening With Project X?

One Congress, yes. Forgot about that one. The Hancock & BB tower (and, SST) ... I'll hold my breath.

I could have sworn we started a thread for The Aberdeen (1650 Comm Ave, Brighton), but I can't seem to find it.

Anyway, this has definitely broken ground (finally)...walked past active construction site today:

Mods, any thoughts on own thread/vs. including it within Allston-Brighton projects? Seems right on the edge of infill vs. notable development.

It's a big project- I think it should have its own thread.

Anyone know if the Skating Club of Boston is moving forward?

Shortly after the BRA approval in 2015, someone told me it was dead, but small updates have been made to http://thenext100years.org during 2016 and they continue to link to it from their website, so I question how dead it really is. Maybe waiting for a large donation?

It's fucking hideous so good luck to Brookline. I'd be more sympathetic to the developer if they spent more than $500 on a shitty rendering done by the president's artistically inclined grandchild.

The glass thing looks like it belongs in Vegas.

Looks like North Carolina interstate exit ramp office park-esque

I'll believe 399 Congress is underway once they have the topping off ceremony. lol

Also, we'll all be dead before Fenway Center breaks ground. What the F is John Rosenthal's problem?

Golden R,

i was hoping for a thread called the [Mystical/Listicle/Nevertowers official thread]' for the ones that keep us waiting and waiting, including the very cool 104 Canal. i'd increase the list with Garden Garage. and Fenway Ctr.....

That's Marriot Moxy underway in Back Bay. 40 Trinity still hasn't broken ground.

^odurandina, i often go for runs through the bulfinch triangle and there's always the section of disappointment...the non-started 104 canal and the forecaster slug

C) North End Hole : Paul Revere Supertall

Don't tell me some moron thinks they're going to be able to put up a supertall in the north end near Paul Revere's house.

Or is their something I'm missing?

What's up with Parcel 9 and Parcel 10 in Roxbury?

Parcel 9 hasn't started construction, right? (Marriott hotel)

Parcel 10, next door, is asking for a 3-month extension of their designation as developer, according to BPDA. They say they'll start on it once renovation of old Tropical Foods building is completed (with 30 rental units upstairs).

Interesting; in this document is says that the developer has been required to pay a fee each time it has asked for an extension (going back years) but hasn't paid it, ever.
