10 World Trade | BGI Office Tower (Massport Parcel A2) | Seaport

unfamiliar with the necessity to paint some of this steel white... assuming some sort of anti-corrosive purpose, but why? I think this steel is "inside" the structure when fully built.
Without getting up close, I can't say for sure, but it doesn't look like intumescent paint nor does it look like a finish coat. It seems like a shop-applied corrosion-inhibiting primer in grey (whereas it's usually in a red oxide color). This will probably be given a white finish coat in the field once the erection is complete.

5/2/23 -- The Convention Center side of the tower is definitely the furthest along. The site is pretty well lit up and there were workers still on site last night after 7:30 pm.

Are my eyes playing tricks on me or are the arches not "true" arches? Looks like the tops are flattened a bit, right? A very odd architectural choice if that's the case.

Yep, they’re definitely flattened compared to a circular radius. And the facade of the building also has a noticeable outward lean on all faces. Really optimistic that the final product will resemble the renders, because it could really be a stunner once completed.

They are not messing around on this one -- a very active construction site well past 8:30 pm at night (on the two nights I walked by this week). I wish they had this kind of urgency for Commonwealth Pier or for any public infrastructure project ever. These are from Thursday and Friday --

I’ve seen how it’s supposed to look in the renders but they need to think really carefully how they design the pedestrian experience on the Congress St side. There are multiple on and off-ramps all tying in at that point, and Congress St is a bit of a highway outbound of Haul Rd. The plaza and pedestrian bridge look amazing and if done right will be a great connection to the rest of the neighborhood

One that is so unique because of it's design, to come along in years!!!!

This is the last major gap in the skyline, nice to see it being filled in. Its crazy to think how not long ago it was that the seaport had many gaps between buildings.
