It's that time again, archBoston Presidential Poll 2012. Let's see how predictable we can all be.

Stewart Alexander/Alejandro Mendoza (socialist)

FYI the poll results show who you voted for.

Hence the line: "Let's see how predictable we can all be".

I'm currently mulling and evenly divided amongst all of the following:
- Gary Johnson
- Jill Stein (believe it or not, even if she does display a failure to understand a great deal on economics)
- Writing in Ron Paul
- Writing in Andrew Napolitano
- Writing in my own name
- Writing in 'Nobody'
- Leaving the presidential section blank
- Leaving the entire ballot blank

Thus I chose "Other".

EDIT: I have officially retracted Jill Stein from my list of potentials.

I'm fairly certain they oppose transit and education subsidies.

Actually, I retract that. They're a bunch of lefties.

They're called the Justice Party, and that's good enough for me.*

I mean, really, who wouldn't attend a Justice Party, other than a supervillain?

* (No, not really.)

So how long did it take you guys to vote? I waited in line for about 1.5 hours starting at 7 in the morning.

It took me 5 minutes to vote in Assonet (still registered there) at 7am. I was the 14th person to vote. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I voted all democrat for the first time in my life and "yes" on all three ballot questions. I voted for W in 04 (not proud), Mcain in 08 (torn, but I liked him and his experience) and Brown when the "Kennedy Seat" was up. Largely I voted mostly R for fiscal reasons, but the D support for infrastructure and education spending has me sold. Also, there's nothing scarier to me than the religious nuts on the far right. They're far more disconcerting than the nutty far left folks who I find mildly entertaining. I'm not ashamed to admit all of this thanks to the relative anonymity of the Internet.

HORRENDOUS in the South End. The lines are as long as the pictures we've been seeing from Florida.

Looks to be about a 3 hour wait.

Not voting...I know I know, I won't complain about presidential/senatorial/state politics for the next four years. (sounds like a win-win to me!)

Waited in Somerville for 2 hours this morning. 7:20-915. I think I actually saw Mr. Newman as I neared the end of the line.

Regardless of victor or politics, I just hope we don't get dragged into a Florida 2000 scenario. That helps no one anywhere on any side. Plus it will be annoying, and I am plenty annoyed with the process as is.

Walked in and out of my polling station in Malden. Was voter #1254 at 5pm, which, if memory serves, is high.

An article came out yesterday (or maybe the day before) saying in 76 years of following voter predictions, we've never had such a dead heat going into election day, ergo we probably are in for another Florida 2000-type scenario, and I doubt even more we'll see one of the candidates officially conceding tonight. So, folks, don't take those seatbelts off just yet!
