Re: The Boston Arch (Aquarium parking garage)

Does anybody else agree the Greenway with a couple of huge Plasma Screens on a couple future developments, similar to TIMES Square (Maybe Harbor Garage, South Station, Congress Developments) could be the future destination for NEW YEARS EVE in Boston?

Or am I just delusional. After driving down the strip this morning.

KZ -- I'll take that as an indirect complement -- we just celebrated our 35th -- she always says that temporary insanity was involved

BUT -- to be more on topic -- let's talk about where "Paul Revers's Ride" should be located -- the Boston version of the London Eye

KZ -- Semantics -- Shemantics ......

Reminds me ....near closing time there are two old guys left in a bar who've been drinking for hours Saul and Wang-Ho

Suddenly Saul get's up, staggers over a couple of feet and Hits Wang--Ho square on the jaw knocking Wang Ho to the floor

Wang-Ho -- [staggers to his feet with a look of disbelief]: What was that for

Saul: That was for Pearl Harbor

Wang-Ho: [even more puzzled]: Pear Harbor? ... I'm Chinese

Saul: Japanese, Chinese its all the same to me

Both men go back to drinking

Suddenly Wang-HO staggers over to Saul and hits him with at martial arts punch to the gut

Saul collapses to the floor

Wang-Ho [standing over him, triumphantly and gloating]: That was for the Titanic

Saul [seeing the world slowly come into focus]: Titanic? .... what have I to do with that I'm Jewish

...... [Alert ..... Punchline coming .....]

Wang-Ho [still rubbing his chin]: Iceberg, Goldberg ... its all the same to me

Now back to our regularly scheduled program

Re: The Boston Arch (Aquarium parking garage)

...FFS!! -.-

Also, thanks KZ. This is not a blog. It's a public discussion forum where there is a TOPIC of discussion for each thread. You cannot just write anything you damn well please in any thread. If you want to express your own random opinions without any sort of structure or order, get a blog. Bans need to start being issued for this shit. I'm tired of it.

Re: The Boston Arch (Aquarium parking garage)

Yeah, I agree! Data and KZ need to be banned for all the whining they do. A lot of people on this board have grown tired of your shenanigans.

Data -- somewhere in the discussion of "One Greenway" someone posted an equation for how Krappy the pedestrian experience was based on the solid angle of the building and the solid angle subtended by street trees, etc.

Do you think that equations describing oppressiveness were of equal value as a comparison of Ville Radieuse (The Radiant City) Le Corbusier with the work of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe or was it Gropius

You of all people speak up on this? LOL. You're the only one that whines about others whining.

I like an organized forum and I don't like idiots. Deal with it.
