Network health building?

That angle is a much more flattering view of Assembly than the one facing towards Encore with garages everywhere. I wish they had buried the garages better, so they werent facing the river or grand union blvd either. Anyways the neighborhood overall is coming out pretty good.

I was at Trader Joe's at Assembly today -- it was nearly dark so it was a bit hard to get the overall view

What is the area next to the Parking Lot for Joe's and the other stuff in that strip -- it looks to be cordoned off for some sort of construction

It's the first XMBLY building site.

This is another example of how a long-exiled Bostonian like myself is blown away by the changes in Boston. This development is massive and growing, there is a Caffe Nero in the foreground and lurking the background is the Encore Casino. Just boggles my mind in the best way possible.

Czervik -- even for someone who lives in Boston Area -- if you just don't follow a particular route for a while -- its somewhat stunning -- and it's not confined to any one district [such as the huge transformation of the Financial District and the Back Bay a generation plus ago. There are at least 5 or 6 areas where development is restructuring all of the old views.

A few weeks ago I took the Turnpike all the way in from Rt-128 to East Boston instead of getting on at Soldiersfield Rd. -- this let me see up close and personal New Balance's complex at "Boston Landing" -- my first view from the pike in a couple of years -- trully major change.

Even places like Kendall and the Seaport that I visit about once a month, or more often -- when you take the trip [and say a-light from the T station] -- dramatic change socks you right in the face. More places will be joining the rapid development set in the coming years.

As the old Chinese Curse goes "May you live in Interesting Times" -- I don't know what we did to deserve it -- but we certainly do

I enjoy how each wave of development at Assembly gets taller and more confident - like the banks were surprised that people wanted to live/work in this type of development near a T stop and now are just throwing money at the next set of buildings. And here I thought that when Ikea pulled out, it was the end of this projet!
