Oy vey. It's hard to please everyone all the time.Overnight construction at Government Center Garage project driving nearby residents nuts; Michlewitz asks city to halt the work
State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz today called on City Hall to halt all overnight construction work at the Bulfinch Crossing/Government Center Garage project until developer HYM, the city and the T can figure out a way to allow construction of the office skyscraper part of the project while also...www.universalhub.com
He adds that one possible solution would be to have the T set up a daytime diversion program to temporarily run buses instead of trains on some days so that HYM's contractors can do some work then.
Those photos remind of when a huge whale is hunted by the Alaska Natives, the carcass dragged onto the beach and gradually stripped away down to the skeletal frame. Very similar in its hulking, dismembered mass.
Those giant concrete tinkertoys would make an incredible artificial reef.
The Hurley Building would be even better with all that corduroy concrete.
Yes it's going to be closed for months, I would assume starting around Mayis there a scheduled road closure yet for congress street to pull down the garage over the road (or at least i assume they have to close the road to pull down the final pieces on this?)
