Is that at the Hearst Castle? When you say Citizen Kane, do you mean William Randolph Hearst? Or was a scene actually filmed there? (Unlikley since Hearst tried to block the release of Citizen Kane when he found out that the film's main character, Charles Foster Kane, was based upon him).

The indoor pool at the Hearst Castle has always terrified me. It's down in the basement (of course) of the "Castle" and gets very little natural light, and with the blue tile flooring, you can't really see the bottom, even though its not deep. It's like being catacombs.

The outdoor pool (also picture), however, is sensational.

California is a lot like Mass. in that way, by this I mean people usually think of one big city.... and the rest.

so you mean people think of LA, and then the rest, because that's how most californians think of it. SF is a boutique town - a gentrified burg of 750,000, lacking in diversity and excitment, effectively a suburb of san jose. Of course, it's a great place for a weekend. heh.

Yeah ,we tend to think as Boston/ North East,New York /all of the Mid Atlantic area including Philly and then DC takes in Baltimore,Virginia ect, then nothing to you hit Miami. Here's some more pix's of San Francisco and some of Oakland, Do you have any more of LA?
