Can't believe I forgot to take a pix of the town hall,the nicest building intown, Then off to Boston

over the river

and back to Allston

Today raining in Ayer Mass. Has not changed one bit in the 40+ years I've been coming here,

always knew when I was in Ayer when I saw this sign as a child, nice to see it still there,

today took me to Franklin Mass and then thru Ayer again on my way to Pepperell Ma. got some of Groton Ma. as I was passing thru!

Town Hall ,really liked this building as is! should have got some more pixs, nice old building falling apart inside and out untouched in years,1st time in Pepperell nice town! Nice area of Mass.

Terrific. Thanks for making the effort to post those. I love pictures of NE, and especially Boston and its suburbs and exurbs. Miami has a great skyline but the rest of the metro area is strip malls and 4-way intersections. BORING. the landscape and architecture couldn't be more different.

For some reason I've never read this thread until today. New England really has some beautiful cities and towns. I grew up near downtown Sherborn; VERY quintessential New England.

^ add some pix's of Sherborn,thats one town I have'nt been to. Last week Salem,beautiful city,I spent a day there last year ,I have better pictures of the tourist crap and historical sites,but this was my drive thru last thursday!

I've always been a fan of Salem. Great pics. That new building is freaking hideous tho.

Berlin looks charming in a rural New England way. However, I thought their town hall was a strip mall until I looked closer at the sign.

Yeah the Town hall was the only new building in town,well except for the mall were building off 495 but it's far enough away that it won't ruin the look of the town!

There are plenty of towns (both Westwood and Medfield) with strip mall post offices. Undignified!

Salem is great, although I've only been around Halloween. The ped. mall looks a little empty this time of year.

No, it's pretty much always empty (except Halloween and exceptionally beautiful days). it leads to nowhere but a crappy old mini-mall/movie theatre and parking lots. It's really a shame because shame Salem has opportunity flying out the ass, and it's just not taken advantage of.

Worcester again!,Mostly around city hall and Union Sta. It was rainy and I had my camera on the wrong setting ,so pix's aren't great.
