It is. I was there a few days ago and I saw them installing steel beams.

I only go by every couple months on an excursion to Coolidge Corner - but - i see progress every time. I wonder if work is only done overnight so the Pike can have further restrictions out of precaution.

Does anyone know when the 4th lane on Mass Pike in this area will reopen? Obviously not until the crane comes down but just curious because traffic merging onto Masspike from Allston-Brighton is the worst and has been for well over a year now.

I doubt any time soon. I believe in the first phase the crane did not come down and the lane did not reopen until the project was much further along. Either way, that portion of the Mass Pike is likely to be porked for the next decade or more given the need to replace the aging viaduct as part of the massive project.

Wow- this thread started in 2005, a lot of strong feelings both for and against.
Parking lot & highway wasteland vs pedestrian experience and housing.
Souless office park design vs traditional design.
Developers getting state subsities vs tax payer burrden should go to more relvevant needs.
1300 space parking garage vs better transit.
Someone could make this into a book- The Fight for Fenway!

Phase 2 platform 2021-
Phase 3 should be gearing up soon. The IQHQ website still indicating 2025. Hopefully they pull thru even with the slowdown in life science.
