Forecaster Building Addition |121-127 Portland Street | West End

That would be a hilarious piece of street art actually.

This actually wouldn't be terrible if it materials on the addition weren't so blah. If it was copper, or some sort of textured metal, I think we'd be singing its praises. However, when you go cheap like that, it shows.

Are they serious? no matching brick facade wtf? Should we also assume when 1 Merrimack finally gets a proposal, it's going to have the same awkward silhouette? btw, graffiti would be an improvement for the 1st level.

Calling Banksy...

I've always thought Boston could learn a thing of two from this neighborhood.

I think this particular one would go quite nicely on the 1st level wall:

There's an artsy / hip neighborhood in Miami that has a ton of graffiti and street art that I found to be awesome as well...I just don't remember the name of it.

Going for certification of completion at tomorrow's BPDA meeting.

This will be gone in 20 years. The building beneath it will remain for a century after that.

The addition on this building is fucking hideous.

It's really incredible that an outcome this egregious was ever approved.

How much of a price do you place on an outer cladding that averts moral outrage?

I will give this project the slightest bit of slack because I will assume they lost a ton of time and money with all of the screw ups with the original contractor, So maybe they had to make some serious cutbacks and do some extreme value engineering?

If this is the original vision, then fuck them.
