Forecaster Building Addition |121-127 Portland Street | West End

There was quite a bit of activity near the top this morning when I traveled past it (more than I have become accustomed to seeing since the project is so slow)...

In the last month they have put down flooring in the top steel structure and today trucks are lined up around the block for an ongoing cement pour.

You know when people say about a house, "My grandfather built this place." I feel like people will be saying that about the Forecaster Building. Because this has been so slow there's no way they've got more than one guy working on it.

Would love to see a flatiron building on that cuppacoffee parcel. Does anybody like those on here? Prob not :p:p:p

^Me too. But I hope Cuppacoffee would occupy a ground level retail spot. It's really, really good. Their pies are pretty good too.

The Flatiron rocks, as does its Lego interpretation. But so does Cuppa, so I agree it should be incorporated. :p

+1 although I would personally hope for something much taller than Pierce between 600 and 700 feet but I don't know how possible that is with the size of the site maybe someone with more knowledge would now how feasible that would be.

Edit after measuring the site on google maps it is much bigger than I thought and a true flatiron shaped high rise here would be amazing!

I'd much rather a traditional flatiron shape.

Curves on building are a rare commodity. The more the better.

Was someone from AB photographing this building about 20 minutes ago? I saw someone with a camera snapping photos from across the street.

They've got a crane in the adjacent lot and it looks like they're adding more steel.

Haha, I figured it had to be either someone from AB or the Developer's team. Nice pics.

*edit* To make this especially funny, I'm actually in the first photo. Bright green jacket. I was heading up skiing after work last Friday and wore my most subtle, understated outerwear.

Archboston "missed connections"
