Four Seasons Tower @ CSC | 1 Dalton Street | Back Bay

I don't mind them. They add a new dynamic to the forum. Archboston wouldn't be the same without Oduiarna.

Im actually NOT one who flips out anytime someone dares to post something that doesnt 100% strictly adhere to the construction project in a particular thread. This is a forum, and the best discussion is spontaneous, not quarantined as it might be to those who often suggest "starting your own thread" for anything off topic. I dont think Im alone in that. BUT, having a consistent derail simply based on height is repetitive and given that it's just the same recurring theme over and over, in most cases would be best suited, in my opinion, to be discussed elsewhere. I think he's gotten more respectful of this though over the past year.

Spelling his name differently in each post makes me think you're actually the same person trying to throw us off the scent.

:)

No, I'm just lazy. A few people just abbreviate it.

ok, this is pure bragging, but i just yesterday found out that my buddy -- who i knew worked in construction, but wasn't sure what his current gig was -- is on 1 dalton. he's offered to let me come by the site now and then and also to come up to the top(!!!!!!!!) for the topping-off ceremony. so... yeah, i'm excited about that last bit.

^^and lemme guess; even he doesn't know if it's going 740, 744, or 755 or 6.

Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up. Shut up.

you took the bait.... .

The thin veil of anonymity the internet provides often serves to cloud judgement in regards to personal decorum. It is also contagious and seems to spread quickly once things go south and the next thing you know several civilized and decent humans are behaving like savages. Sometimes it's best to walk away from the computer for 5 minutes and think before hitting "post reply".

I missed whatever happened yesterday but I've seen many threads go sideways on other boards. 9 times out of 10 the cause is simply posting without thinking. The filter that is between your brain and your mouth that functions so well with in person human interaction has to be thought about consciously to function with internet communication.

A few days ago two longstanding members; Ilko and Freddy exchanged money for Fred's 993TT. Ilko had a long drive home and blew the engine. War erupted.

The great thing about air-cooled 911's;

even if it turns out to be a lemon, it's still not that big a deal, because

1. air cooled cars ain't that incredibly complicated compared to the current editions

2. compared to the value of the car, the repair costs aren't that horrendous,

3. you're doing an update that will be greatly outmatched by the pleasure you get driving it and long-term value.

4. if you could afford the car in the first place, you can afford the short term liability with the lemon that becomes the refreshed car.

5. 4 out of 5 purchases (or an even better %) will most likely turn out well.

6. buyer beware with any high strung machine (even a Vette)....... stfu and be prepared to pay the freight of your Porsche semi-exotic car fetish. ....life could be considerably worstttt.

Stay classy.

Sorry to get off-topic and ask about the building, but is that the tower rising in the last picture, or is it going to be coming up directly in line with the crane?

Are you avoiding the too many height comparison complaints completely and instead implying that you know random things about air cooled Porsches? Am I missing something lol that makes no sense why that would be a reasonable response.
