For some reason, they have had to re-tension all the tie backs next to the Central Street bridge. It’s keeping them from removing that berm.

Another example of value engineering. The old Cadillac version of this project included a more textured material designed to discourage taggers. This is the Pass/Fail version of that

I dont mind “good” graffiti, but its pretty rare and 99% of it looks like a 4 year old scribbled their name on the wall. I dont get the shitty stuff... its just like why? Draw something at least mildly cool or gtfo. At least make an attempt at drawing something not just scribbling ur name.

I, too, am a big fan of the retaining wall on the right. Green/naturalizing, sound scattering/absorbing, low incentive to graffiti.

But it seems also to need (a) sunshine and (b) more horizontal footprint (to slope up and back) and (c) produce less walkable space

I wish they'd hurry up and fill in the gap between the old and new viaducts.

@Lechmere, They are installing street level station fixtures; it looked like sign frames, and maybe bus or bike amenities

Does anyone have a pic of what the new Lechmere Station will look like? :)
