Hancock of the day...

That was one of my favorites - I never even noticed that little bit up there. I'll try to get around to cropping - well, the re-uploading is the tedious part.

John: Those look like renderings, very odd.

KZ: Sweet shot. I can't decide if the traffic light ruins it, or if it adds to it. I like the Mass. Ave sign. I dunno.

Really liked this perspective:

Damn you, Clarendon -- get out of John's picture!

if anything can be credited to the clarendon it should be that it gives good scale to the hancock

Had CC been built, it would also have created a small cluster of high-rises.

Anyone have pics of the hancock when first building? Was wondering if those cooling tower vents near the top of the west side always stood out from the rest of the building so much. Almost looks like they are white.

Check out the Flickr Finds thread. There's a whole bunch of Hancock construction pics in it.

And the vents are showing weirdly because of the direct sunlight hitting it and the angle John happened to be shooting from. Also note how that harsh lighting is making the window frames appear white (and almost dirty).

The photo above doesn't seem to be coming up; maybe I didn't pay my hosting bill? Here's another.
