Amazing -- 10 years ago no one could have imagined a building of that scale that far away from everything in South Boston
 
I love that Summer Street view, the way it closes off the end of the street.
 
Call me crazy, but between this place and the Hampton Inn over in Roxbury on Mass Ave, I think that somebody at the Hampton might have an inkling about urban architecture. Or maybe its just a great coincidence. Either way, it's a win.
 
What is that big empty lot in the foreground of this shot?
bancars -- I believe that the lot in question is owned or controlled by the US*1 -- I presume in connection with the Old Boston Army Base which occupied much of that part of the Ray Flynn Marine Park circa WWII and until about 1970

Looking at what's already built, I don't think the facade is going to be that bright. I could be wrong but it looks more in line with the original rendering.
