The low-rise portion of the tower is close to the height of the nearby lots. I would like a little more than a geometric shape wrapped in cladding for that piece. It feels unfinished as it is.

Glad to hear it’s real masonry - this part was supposed to be a rehabbed building, but they determined it had to come down. It’s good they’re putting in a little work to match the original building.

I believe that their agreement with the City was that they perfectly replicate the facade, so at least that part had to be real masonry.

The layering / different building heights and shapes in this shot are fantastic.
 
I passed by this project yesterday as well, though my photos aren't anywhere near as good as BeeLine's!

I have wondered if this project would overpower Central Square, but it seems to fit in nicely. Now I wonder if there is any more parcels in the neighborhood that could accommodate another building of that height.
