Two Fat Cats (website, facebook, instagram) is opening a new location in the West End at 175 Spring Street adjacent to Chocolat Passion. Owner Stacy Begin shared that the new location will be a bakery, cafe and market which will serve soups, salads and sandwiches, and their house-made baked...

For me, a neighbor, this redevelopment keeps getting better. From Mainebiz: "The Two Fat Cats West End location will serve breakfast and lunch, featuring freshly brewed coffee and espresso, a selection of sweet and savory options for dine-in, and a menu for take-home. It will also have a market featuring sandwiches, salads, local gourmet products and specialty goods...Our goal with this new location is to create a welcoming space where people can gather, enjoy high-quality food, and explore unique products. Sounds a lot like Aurora Provisions, but with a great chocolate shop next door... Outdoor seating on the patio?

Between Washington Avenue and the E.Perry Metal site...I think Redfern will have their hands busy for a while! (I hope)

I like that idea but honestly I’m not even sure what that spot can be right now. I’m honestly hoping some changes are made to the GND that are needed to open that up to more possibilities. ~ C
