Nice! This should be clearly visible from the Common pretty soon, shouldn't it?

As I was walking by the Millennium Tower this afternoon I overheard a frustrated construction worker saying "there's 6 feet of f###ing snow up there"! Where are we going to put all of this snow?

Well they can't exactly push it off the top of the building. That's really annoying though.

Just bust out a hair dryer fellas! That snow'll be gone in no time!

Or, at this point, just wait for the 70mph gusts on Sunday morning to scour the concrete clean...

Jesus, is it really going to get that bad? I often miss home...but this winter I haven't missed it at all.

This winter on average hasn't been bad.

The last three weeks though have been historically terrible. Like, the MBTA is breaking apart and I'm ready for Mad Max-style snow gangs to appear after this weekend's snowstorm. There is no more room for the snow anywhere, haha

Damn...well I hope you guys are able to make it through ok.

Tmac -- I understand you folks are having a water shortage -- send us some ships and you can have all that you want -- Massachusetts has a minimum snow depth Border to border E-W and N-S of 30 cm

Most of Greater Boston got more snow than the rest of Massachusetts west of Worcester [about 2m in the past 30 days] and as we speak we now have a snow pack averaging a meter depth or more

Melt it down [currently average of 10 to 1 or less ratio due to compression] and we've got minimum of 5x10^9 m2 covered with about 10 cm of water

If I did the arithmetic right -- This is about 5x10^8 m3 of water -- Come and get it ;)

i wonder if this is behind schedule because of all the snow.

By my count it has only grown 7-8 floors in the last 3 months. It's painfully slow. As of last night it looked like they are still working on 15. If they hadn't put up quite a bit more glass I would have questioned if there was any progress at all!

While it's becoming visible from different areas, this tower isn't going to start having an impact until it passes 101 Arch St. At that point, it's going to have another 400' to go(!!!) but will at least be carving out its own spot on the skyline.

Anybody else think Nashua St Residences passes this (in height) by Summer?

I really don't see them finishing this in time for summer 2016, unless they speed it up dramatically when the snow stops.

The snow is hampering the entire regional economy. We can't expect them to keep their schedule.

That would be fantastic! I just need some ships now...and then it's no more 2 minute showers for ol' tmac!

Fairly soon [March 1] we'll have a Civil Day [Civil Twilight to Civil Twilight] longer than 12 hours

Later from about May 15 until August 5 the day light hours run from 5:00 AM until 8:00 PM -- 15+ hrs

In fact from June 10 until July 4 the Civil Day runs from 4:30 AM until 9:00 PM -- that's 16 1/2 hrs -- a real long work day -- the limits might be how fast the Concrete cures
