As I was walking by the Millennium Tower this afternoon I overheard a frustrated construction worker saying "there's 6 feet of f###ing snow up there"! Where are we going to put all of this snow?
Jesus, is it really going to get that bad? I often miss home...but this winter I haven't missed it at all.
This winter on average hasn't been bad.
The last three weeks though have been historically terrible. Like, the MBTA is breaking apart and I'm ready for Mad Max-style snow gangs to appear after this weekend's snowstorm. There is no more room for the snow anywhere, haha
Damn...well I hope you guys are able to make it through ok.
i wonder if this is behind schedule because of all the snow.
Tmac -- I understand you folks are having a water shortage -- send us some ships and you can have all that you want -- Massachusetts has a minimum snow depth Border to border E-W and N-S of 30 cm
Most of Greater Boston got more snow than the rest of Massachusetts west of Worcester [about 2m in the past 30 days] and as we speak we now have a snow pack averaging a meter depth or more
Melt it down [currently average of 10 to 1 or less ratio due to compression] and we've got minimum of 5x10^9 m2 covered with about 10 cm of water
If I did the arithmetic right -- This is about 5x10^8 m3 of water -- Come and get it
I really don't see them finishing this in time for summer 2016, unless they speed it up dramatically when the snow stops.
