It's amazing that with all the shit every project has to go through we still get this blank black wall. One would expect it to catch somebody's eye...

...at least it has someone's attempt at Morse on there...

Big opportunity for some artist with a bunch of LEDs or perhaps a projection system

Does anyone know why 45 Province left the wall blank? It seems like a huge waste.

It originally looked to me like what happens on a property line, but it is not a property line, it overlooks Chapman Place, a public way....

I think it has to do with how thing the building is they couldn't fit rooms on either side of the elevator if it was put in the middle of the building so they put it on the edge.

I could be totally wrong but that is how it appears to me

They still could have covered it in glass and precast it happens all the time.

Or just do what they did on the Hancock, which really didn't need to latest stunt. Treat it like that cooling plant wall in Dewey Square where the art changes every so often. Because the space is temporary you could be "daring" and give people something to talk about. This would be turning a negative into a positive.

As long as they keep that stupid ad off.

Very true, I was just commenting on why they put on the side instead of surrounded by the building... It would look much better than it does now if they had clad it in glass and terra cotta (I am assuming thats what is covering the rest of the building).

Good gods she is beautiful! I really can't wait to see what her coiffure looks like in person.

But who gives a shit that rich people will live in a kick ass building downtown? Where else would they live? And what's the difference if it were a office building and Bain leased the entire space? This whole "we've lost our soul" is dramatic, if not bonkers and demonstrates a naked agenda (to further the author's hard-left sensibilities). But the again, it's Boston Magazine, which is to say it is dog shit. Must be tough to be an editor there and reel in the author's first cut to this. Either that or it's just a really easy job.

If the choice is between rich people living downtown and rich people living in Wellesley, I'll take downtown, because there are corollary benefits for the rest of the city. Wellesley is just a net negative.

The yellow screening is coming down (started yesterday on the south side) so the concrete section is completed

The current pix are the swan song of the Crane -- its only got a short time left before it leaves its nest

It will be sad to see the tallest crane leave Boston -- its been fun
