odurandina, your post is spoken like a privilege white person who doesn't have to deal with racial prejudice. Race exists regardless of whether you want to pretend it doesn't. Unlike you, minorities don't have the privilege to say something like "we are all one human race" because we are always reminded at places like job interviews where we didn't get the job because our name sounded funny, where female doctors are overlooked because she happens to be a black, where asian roles are played by white actors and actresses because asians are overlooked, where you're subjected to extra security check because you look middle eastern, and etc. You can say we are all one race when everyone is actually treated equally but you can not solve the problem of racial inequality by pretending it does not exist and you cannot solve the problem until you address the issue head on and have a (uncomfortable) discussion about it. The fact that you don't get it shows that you are part of the problem. Go to the Republican party. That's one less trash in the Democrat party.
 
i hate racists. and there's plenty on both sides of the political isle. We're all exposed to bigotry, and it has an effect. I'll leave that discussion for another time. Right now it's the first 100 days.

Trump has some ideas that i'm willing to support. He's not your average conservative either. He's got plenty of stuff that would be part of a liberal agenda - as do the rest of them cruel, racist Republicans.

He's also got this 'thin skin' condition that may threaten his ability to lead, if not his presidency. That's unfortunate. Obama had a similar problem, but, kept it much more under control, and out of the public eye. He also had a FANTASTIC media PR team; MSDNC, Clinton News, Some Super Cool DNC Things Considered etc....

LBJ, Nixon, Obama and Trump were/are all thin skinned politicos.

Trump needs to knock it off. We should all be talking about the Pipelines, and Trump rescuing (or not) Obamacare.

The protesters are also thin skinned. The great majority of them.

In any case, everyone needs to calm the fuck down.

In 1960s or 1970s America i'd never been branded a racist for talking about immigration that serves the host society. If safety for American citizens isn't being maintained....

And with the number of people presently on food stamps, why the fuck are we running open borders?

Help on the way; The grownups.gov are coming. It appears (Homeland Security, INS, etc) will, very soon be tasked by the President Thin Skin (but with an Actual Clue) of fixing it....

I just figured out the hiring freeze applies to DoD too, until exceptions are allowed. Apparently we also can get promoted to a new position now either. And trump and the republican congress want to kill our rights and benefits, and cut our pay. I'm already paid less than the private industry pays, the only thing keeping me there is health insurance and retirement.

I need to figure out a plan out of trumpistan if my job no longer seems appealing.

Obama giving IRAN and Palenstien 500Million in cash. Our govt is supporting Saudia Arabia which women have no rights and the country was involved with 911.
Clinton foundation accepting 10's of millions of dollars from the Saudis.

Notice Elizabeth Warren and Obama did not support Bernie because they are opportunist and they do whats right for them not for the country.

It's not so much that the world hates Americans as that a lot of people, myself included, are petrified of them with how much hate and ignorance influences their politics and thus the damage they can inflict on the world at large just by showing up at the polls.

Sorry KMP, I did not grow up with Mommy and Daddy changing my diapers and taking me to school and giving me lunch money. I grew up the hard way. That is the difference between my views and your ignorant views.

Believe me I'm not always right or the smartest person in the room--But I see the motives and agendas at play.

Concerning the rubber glove---I was the white guy on OJ's jury that voted Guilty. That's the difference.

The thing about using your own observation to understand people's motivations and agendas is that you don't fucking know because you aren't in their head. You're head concocts a web of connections where they may or may not exist.

Give me a break. Plenty of people grew up the hard way and have reasonable and respectable opinions on both sides of the spectrum. That's no excuse.

I don't know. But when you have people in politics saying one thing but doing another-- is a hypocrite.

Elizabeth Warren is one of the biggest:
The bankers are stealing from you. But I voted not to Audit the Federal Reserve bank. So she does not believe in Auditing the people that are actually stealing from us.

She claims that supporting Hilary Clinton was more important than supporting Bernie Sanders. Which Bernie is everything she stood for on why she got elected but then supports Hilary Clinton who is clearly supported by Wall Street. That my friends is called an opportunist and a liar.

I can give you a 100 examples of Obama, The Clintons are outright criminals at this point.
 
This thread has certainly brought out the worst in all of us. Everybody who has posted here, to a man/woman, has made themselves look bad, myself included. (why I stopped posting here!) Nobody is above the fray. We either come across as whiny, or assholes, or uninformed, or misinformed, or unsympathetic, or unrealistic, or radicals, crazies, loonies, etc. It's not a good look. We are all here, first and foremost, due to our interest in Boston's development as a city. This thread (and the presidential thread) has been the nadir of civility and respect at Archboston.

I wish that a mod would close it, or that we could just let it die. Yuck.
