Even the re-do wasn't that great. In the first iteration, the actual materials looked NOTHING like the renderings, which were OK......if even a bit Disney fake. However, the cheap materials and tacky installation is what really killed it in my opinion. They made it better, but still not great.

Agreed. The block that had been there was just fine and likely could have been converted — it was just a bunch of bow window-heavy brownstones. Gorgeous. Kenmore used to be cool. Now it’s nothing.
