The Sudbury (Bulfinch Crossing Residential Tower) | 50 Sudbury St | GCG Phase I | Gov't Center

I would imagine that by changing a few dozen units to condo's,

the developer can start paying back the loan sooner.

noooot sure if this pic from the rear of the tower has been posted: if it has my apologies.

Nice. A piece of urbanity gets inserted into Government Center; chipping away at the beast little by little.

MIT is a superpower in the midst of profound change, currently mobilizing resources. This land will someday be very valuable. This looks like a temporary/disposable dorm project designed to add flexibility to their housing portfolio as they bring new dorms, and eliminate some of the older buildings including Eastgate. This can be replaced easily down the road by an institution possessing vast resources. I put the over-under at of these being up about 13 years.

What??? I think you replied to the wrong thread.

Anybody have an idea when this is supposed to get out of the ground? The speed has been excruciating. According to the FAA site this should have had the crane installed already.

I'll take crap for this.... not gonna say why I'm mentioning it.

But speaking of the FAA.... Any recent FAA updates on the height?

i could be mistaken, but this could be going as high as 558'.

Minimum of 547' in any case.

It's a tall skinny-ish tower. All of these take a good bit of time before they get off of the ground. Look at how long 4 seasons took.

Is this project moving slowly, or is it a complex foundation (aside from abutting the garage) in addition to me being impatient?
