Some progress....
Who's got the big brain and can tell/knows if this is going to be concrete or steel frame construction? I see concrete forms and a steel beam
Definitely exciting to see this starting to really go up. We're all a little spoiled here in 2018 when its like "eh a 550' going up, its cool but not that exciting". 10 years ago we would get a 45 province at 300' and change and were following its every move for countless pages.
Soon One Dalton and Phase 2 Hub on Causeway will finish up and it's going to take some time for anything close to getting off the ground for Winthrop and Longfellow to get going which means our eyes are going to be peeled on this thing floor by floor. I pray this thing will actually move because as far as Crane porn goes we're gonna be in a little lull.
For the skyline enthusiasts - Despite the modest size, this (and the office tower next) should be the most exciting thing going on. This plugs an awkward hole in the skyline and will really make the city "look" a lot bigger. Standing on the Mass Ave bridge, the skyline will really wrap around you - climbing steadily from Cambridge through the new North Station towers and this area to connect to downtown. Just one building can tie a lot of others together.
For the urbanists - I really can't wait for the garage to come down in the next phase and the smaller buildings to go up across the street. The whole Haymarket area is going to be completely transformed. Today it feels mostly like infrastructure. When this project is complete we will have a much more contiguous urban vibrancy.
In short, I love this project.

Why is this street one way in the first place?
This pic says it all- why the hell are there four lanes of traffic? Why is this street one way in the first place? Sudbury, Congress, New Chardon, Staniford - all have a very long way to go before this area gets fixed.
