Is it the recently built fish processing facility next to the Design Center at the Army Base?

That's that huge empty building off Lincoln Street in North Allston.

Why on earth has that building stood empty for so long?

I see the prison in the back ground so this must be in the south end where the BMC is underconstruction

You're basically right, but that's actually the controversial BU biolab under construction; the pic dates back to early 2007.

Why on earth has that building stood empty for so long?

Cabot Cabot & Forbes built it on spec. as high-end lab space. They tried for years to sell or lease it, but they had the resources to sit on it instead of fire-selling it. Ultimately they sold it to Harvard, and it now sits mothballed like much of Harvard's properties in Lower Allston.

Reserve channel dry-dock warehouse?

Yeppp. Right by Dry Dock #3.

And I believe this warehouse was used for ice blocks back in the day, if my memory of what I've been told is correct.

I'm guessing this is a public school built in the 1970s, but I have no idea where.

Assuming that's the highrise complex just north of the Pike...I walked by there one time and was pleasantly surprised to see a ton of ground floor retail and a coherent streetwall!
