Yup Id say youre right, 100 fed is 591’ and this is a few feet short atm.

even recognizing there's a way to go, height-wise (and otherwise), it seems like this thing won't really stick out much on the skyline from most vantage points. given the design, that's not a bad thing; just a little surprising, even having seen the renders.

It has a full 100' to go. Once South Station Tower is added in, we're basically going to have a new top-level section of the old plateau. Of course South Station Tower will dominate the view from the south more than this will, Millennium Tower will still dominate the river view due to being closer, and the new State Street will dominate the close-up northern view.

This will still stick out though, especially from further away. From both a height and size perspective, it will be THE single most dominant tower downtown. The triumvirate of this, Millennium Tower, and South Station Tower will rule the roost for years to come. (maybe forever with the way things are trending)

Is this like Boston's Game of Thrones? Maybe Gladiator?

Factor in the Back Bay's Big 3 and you'll have 6 200m in all, half ruling over the Back Bay and half downtown. It would be something akin to this (please ignore that the middle guy left!):

.....which is tragic, because all 3 are anonymous blue glass monoliths.

Woohoo, we're becoming Tulsa/Houston.

Slapping up glass for their cost savings is impressive for tallest cities lists. The real world? Not so much. Boston shouldn't cheapen itself.
