While we are on the topic of landscaping, this is the recently moved Robert Burns statue in Winthrop Square (a photo I took 3 years ago). Props to the artists creative liberties with bulges...

Burns shrinks into insignificance compared to Victor Noir's posthumous tribute at Pere Lachaise cemetery in Paris, a memorial much loved even today by the demoiselles of Paris. Noir, a writer, was killed at age 22, shot by a cousin of the French emperor, Napoleon III.

The Fed should provide a cool left-side framing device for shots of the finished Winthrop Center from certain Seaport Blvd and Congress Street bridge viewpoints, no?

Seems like just yesterday this was just a site with some dirt moved around, a few pipes strewn about, an excavator sitting idle and every now and then someone would post the big news of a few construction workers doing something in spite of the pandemic.

And now they've already poured what looks to be a dozen or more floors!

This project will likely be the future of subsidized housing for the city.

You made this same wildly improbable claim way back on July 6th... why on earth do you have this bizarre fixation on seeing this project become subsidized housing?

Were you fired by the developer in some spectacularly embarrassing fashion--and thus you want to see the developer humiliated by having the housing component reduced to being subsidized/government-controlled housing?

If you had a sincere interest in interesting things happening w/ public housing in urban Boston, in terms of an innovative public-private partnership, you'd be focused on this... rather than making these wacky speculations.
