So when you guys are done punking the republican party, does that mean the next time y'all will together come up with a more reasonable candidate that won't scare my ovaries off?

I'm not a republican or a Democrat. Both parties are the same at this point.
I have more libertarian values.

Hopefully the American People can see the Truth on how corrupt these people are in Washington DC---Trillions of your dollars missing. No accountability.

At this point in History TRUMP is the man to take the evil out of Washington.

It's really time we do away with the Electoral College. Imagine the uproar if Pennsylvania decides the election with "glitchy" machines? Why are there "swing states" anyway, while any vote in a more partisan state is essentially worthless?

Electronic voting machines in general are too easy to tamper with. We heard about them when Bush won, we heard about them with Obama, and we're hearing about them now.

So, ward 5 of Portsmouth: noticed that the list of registered-today voters were all undeclared and democrat. Not a single new registered republican. This is by the way the wealthy end of town that under normal circumstances you'd see some republicans. Not this year.

Well nice knowing you guys on here, I'm moving to Canada.

Tomorrow might be the worst day for the stock market since 1929.

Do yourself a favor and buy some blue chips tomorrow - the inevitable rebound could fund your move. Which province are you thinking?

British Columbia. I'm a big fan of Vancouver.

Haha knee jerk reaction probably won't happen. Trump's bite probably won't be as bad as his bark. But we don't know.

I'm going for Taiwan, they would never sacrifice democracy because they enjoy giving China the middle finger too much.

But seriously, what now? Tax breaks for the rich, more taxes on us. Great. Anything else is going to stall in congress. I hope you're happy you ignorant fucks, you just decimated the nation Brexit style. And make sure you remember this when you're unemployed and your dollar isn't worth shit anymore next year.

^the country comes together and supports a president trump for four years. I seriously doubt that his actual policies will be as bad as the things he said in the run-up to the election.

The taxes will be real. Also the giant stock market crash that's completely unprecedented is real, even after it stabilizes.

^it's not unprecedented. I hope it ends up similar to the UK stock market after brexit. That market dropped like a rock after the vote but it has recovered since.

Looking at just djia point values tomorrow will be a bad day. However percentage wise we have endured much worse.

And trump is going to make a supreme court willing to make abortion illegal. But no one cares about women's rights, that's why trump got elected. I'm really scared about what's going to happen to women.

I wish you all could feel what I'm feeling, my heart is racing kind of fear.

I can't fucking believe this happened. After I found out, it was about 3pm here in Malaysia. I ended up drinking heavily with my coworkers. After drinking, I went to eat at a local food stall and all I wanted to do was apologize to the nice Muslims workers there. I chatted with one guy for a bit and I told him I'm sorry for what my new president is going to say about you over the next few years.

This is fucking disaster for all unprotected classes (LGBTQ like myself, hispanics, muslims, af-americans, women, etc). I'll spare the rest of the sentiment.

The economy is tanking which means construction costs may actually drop a bit for a little while. Could be good for development & infrastructure projects.

The markets in the UK are not tanking as badly as I expected but once the US markets open I expect a precipitous drop.

With the dependence on foreign investment I'd say that development in Boston is going to cease for the next 15 years.

My god. Alarmist much? Woman's rights will not take a step backwards. I voted for Trump and care very much about women's rights, as does my wife who also voted for him. Abortion will always be legal in this country, so stop with the fear mongering. As a father of two, I think abortion is awful, but would never support infringing on a woman's right to choose. Give women the proper resources to make informed decisions and provide to them the best care possible if they choose to go that route. I also support gay marriage which goes against some of my peers who vote to the right. I consider myself a moderate Republican who believes everyone shares the sames rights and opportunities. And not by some God, but because that is the right thing to do as decent human beings.

I don't think marriage equality is going anywhere for now, unless another Supreme Court justice dies in the next four years.

Trump may be ok but the scary thing is that we don't know.

"For now" is not an acceptable span of time on critical civil rights issues. The court stands to lose at two or three members over the next four years - Ginsburg, Breyer and Kennedy. That's a minimum of three seats for Trump and a Republican Senate.

The Real sad part to this is BERNIE SANDERS would have won in a landslide.
Thank Donna Brasille and Debbie Wasserman Schultz for their honorable character representing the democrats interest in the DNC primaries.

Shut this THREAD DOWN
