Here are the renderings at the WPI dorm site. I like it. It will bring some much needed color to the area. It would be fantastic if some of the ground floor ended up being retail, I don't know what the plan is. Currently, there's not much in the way of lunch food choices around there, though...

I don't think that's a rendering of this building. This is the one that I've seen online: There's a different rendering at the construction site that I'll take a photo of and post. Faraday and Grove is close to the intersection of I290 and route 9 - near Gateway Park and WPI's new-ish...

Cool, thanks for the links! These are some great buildings - recently I've been in Worcester a bit, and seen that Lincoln Square is such a fantastic location, with such potential! Let's hope that the developer and Worcester don't squander it! The excellent Armsby Abbey is just a block or so...

I was walking in Worcester this weekend and noticed that =Article$0@47516"]the old Worcester County Courthouse will soon be up for auction. It's nearby the Worcester Art Museum and the seemingly abandoned War Memorial Auditorium. A fine spot for some decent development, hopefully some good...

On New Year's Day every year the city opens the doors of that monument to the public.

Very close! It was on February 27, 1982, by which time the Avery Hotel had become a rooming house (info from http://www.bostonfirehistory.org/bfdfires.html).

I think the "W" flag is for R.H. White's department store, and the Duncan Hines sign looks to be attached to that corner establishment, which was the Prince Spaghetti House. They probably served Duncan Hines desserts.
