I always thought that would be the perfect spot for a bronze statue of Bulfinch himself. It's his triangle after all. (He could eternally gaze over the surrounding architecture with disdain.) It would provide a nice focal point for the intersection, and maybe even provide some nice photo ops...
Agreed. I wonder if the architect got lost on the UMass Amherst campus and was inspired to mash together the 1960s Student Union entrance with the wings of Morrill III Labs...albeit with a 2016 polish.

As an homage to Comm Ave's theme of 1 bronze statue of some important Bostonian per block, perhaps each block could have a statue of some of Boston's most famous innovators, both historic and recent-- scientific, legal, financial, etc.

Yes, the UMass Club moved there to the 32nd floor from 225 Franklin. The views of the State House and Common from the dining room are impressive. The bar setup is much better than the old one too; you can finally sit at the bar and look straight out the windows North across the Zakim.

Not saying it's a direct correlation, but whenever there's an exhibition soccer game held at Fenway it is a sell-out (or very close). Just something to think about.
