10 World Trade | BGI Office Tower (Massport Parcel A2) | Seaport

f you asked me they should build it wider and put buildings on either side of it all the way across :)
Figures there was an existing thread and I was only off by about 10 years.

As of this morning. Looks like they are starting to dismantle the loading platform on the NW corner.

I wish they had found a way to bring spandrel glass down to the very bottom instead of metal panel. I feel like that transition will be way more noticeable than the renderings showed.

The base actually kinda reminds me of 1 world trade center and then I remembered that this is 10 world trade center. I’m not sure if security had anything to do with it in this case like it did with 1wtc, but either way kind of an interesting homage even if not intentional.

Come to think of it the building itself kinda looks like if you pulled a chunk out of 1wtc, flipped it upside down, and stuck it on the ground as a mid rise.. which is easier to see in u/c pictures.

U Hub reporting the developers bought Silvertone's liquor license at-risk to entice a tenant to the restaurant space in 10 World Trade. $3M dedicated to buildout, so hopefully something will open here shortly after completion.

I didn't get a picture but it looked like some sort of reflective window film was being applied to all of the floors. Looks pretty sleek honestly and matches the black paneling at the arches

The new film sucks any life out of the glass (if it had any). I'm sure it's big $$$ but I'm afraid we're getting a soulless black glass cube. The gradient of the fins also feels too weak and I wish they could've opted for deeper ones. At least the base is looking nice.

Saw it in person over the weekend. It really is a visual downgrade. Do we know why there's a distinct line about 7 floors from the top above which they've not applied any film? Maybe as simple as they've not gotten there yet. But the contrast is striking...in @BeeLine's photos, you can see how might lighter/clearer the original glass was (top 7 floors) vs rest of the building.
