This looks very nice imo. Western ave is really taking on a modern vibe with quality architecture, I think its looking great.

It is kinda sad to see some of these local hangouts disappear. I had never heard of Brighton Beer Garden up until seeing BeeLine's pics, but I'm sure that it's rough to lose these neighborhood hangouts.

it's been closed for probably close to 10 years now. This was a semi chain I believe same owner of tavern on the square but your point still stands.

Apartments at 50 Birmingham Parkway. I swear this is new, and that the absurdly outdated rendering of the Radius is just poor situational awareness by the developer.

Seriously - it's cladded. It's nearly done. How did you f this up? Just take a picture.

Next door to 50 Birmingham Parkway is this:

WTF. A porte cochere gone awry?

I think this was once a wonderful shingled Victorian (remnant of the original on the left) that was horribly mutilated.

I might've asked this but is Brighton House of Pizza moving? And are they slated for demolition?

501-507 Western Ave was sold by Harvard. New owner is Speedway Land LLC.

Probably sold in conjunction with the renovation / reconstruction of the Speedway, which is going forward.

The developer selected is the Architectural Heritage Foundation.

From the site plan, 501-507 will be converted to parking.

The parcel at the back (north) of 501-507 is owned by the Commonwealth.
