Assembly Square Infill and Small Developments | Somerville

Does anyone know what what retail is going on the first floor of PHS? I haven't found any filing or heard anything yet. Adding a CVS or 7/11 would be huge for Assembly Row.
A CVS, Walgreens, or RiteAid would make a lot of sense

It mentions here that they expect a health club to go in along with the stores and restaurants. I assume that would go on the second floor?

100k sf of retail is a lot... And yeah, I'd be shocked if this building doesn't get a pharmacy.
 
A 7/11 would soo look out of place given the shops/restaurants there.



+1 ^, though i tend to hit up Kmart for candy for wifey whenever we hit up AMC for a movie.

Saw black mass and hit up the candy store next to earls (sugar heaven) before hand...best move ever! And you get 10% off if you show your movie tickets which is hilarious.

Just to add...going to the candy was the best move...the movie was just decent IMO.
 
How big is the gap between Partners and the T stops headhouse at that end? It looks close (practically integrated) compared to the plan view in the master plan.
 
Not far at all - perhaps 20 feet.
What would it take to negotiate full integration? Not only are they close but the floor level looks perfect to go from Partners second floor to a mezzanine above the platform
 
I think they want people walking outside contributing to street life; the garage isn't connected to the building either.

Hopefully that gives them enough of a reason not to increase our rent come renewal time.
 
Between this and the fire alarms....

You jinxed it, fire alarms went off again today at 7:30am. Also just got our rent renewal and they're charging $200 more. If we wanted to do month to month it would be $2,000 more a month. We are one of the closest units to the construction.

Really glad we're in the process of buying a place.

Insane that they are charging more considering the units that are available for January are actually lower than what we are paying now. That is for the 2beds though.

2BR going from $3,250 to $3,505 incl parking. It's pretty insane but I guess since they have 3 full time staff they figure they can get a better rate and keep them busy filling vacancies. Guess the foreign-studentification will continue just like it has at most luxury rental buildings in Boston.
