I love how on this board we get so excited to see some "skin pics" and we're such dorks it has nothing to do with nudity!

I saw the little patches of skin on Russia Wharf last night - looks good. Also, 99 High Street (the honeycomb building) suddenly is sprouting green glass sections, mixed in with the old brown. I didn't have a camera - but it's interesting right now as the mix seems sort of haphazard - it's not being done floor-by-floor but empty office-by-empty office.

Ew, I don't like that teal color. I think this might end up being pretty ugly in the end, but time will tell.

I would say it's underwhelming to say the least, though I should perhaps withhold judgement until we can see more.

The glass looks like it's going to be boring and dark, so I suppose the best we can hope for is a pleasing contrast/rhythm between it and the silverly metal parts.

Looking at RW, I get echoes of One Chase Manhattan Plaza... here's hoping it turns out even half as good.

I think once all the supports for the existing facade are down, and more glass is up, we will have better grounds to judge...It's not a hole in the city earth.

Sometimes I don't understand you guys. You all seem to be yearning for new developments, and big developments...and here you have a perfectly good quality 30 story building...and all you do is bitch and moan about how it looks like houston...newflash. It doesn't look like houston. It looks like a cluster of skyscrapers and water, which can be found in about 100 different cities in the world. Would you rather we bulldoze it all and replace it with an algea farm so it can be "uniquely boston"?

I agree...people need to stop with the whining...I posted the London photos above because I am confused as to what all the kvetchers on here want and expect out of this particular part of Boston....
