If you think I'm a good photographer then all I can tell you is to just keep shooting. Gaining an eye for composition, lighting, angles ect. takes time. Also, a lot of my growth happened only once I got back home and was editing them, seeing everything I did wrong. For example, when I first started out (about six years ago) I'd keep one in three shots because the rest were completely unworkable.
Also, this is something I just started doing: when I'm editing and trying to get the colors/saturation/contrast right, I'll keep an amazingly good picture (that isn't mine) with brilliant colors open to constantly compare with. BUT..... it's best to get the colors right when you're there taking the picture, not when you're editing, so getting to know your camera is very, very important.

Semi-related thought: I've been toying with the contrast settings on my camera this past month to get deeper darks, which look great on the computer I edit on, but are way too dark on another computer I use. So how do these look to you guys? I appreciate the input!
