AvalonBay Tower (Jacob Wirth's) | 45 Stuart Street | Downtown

This one is shaping up to be some great construction porn. The Finished product might not be as satisfying

It's the merciful beginning of the end for that awful view of The Kensington. Thank gawd.

I was thinking the same, because I hate that side of the building so much. This new one can't possibly look any worse... can it? I'm really nervous about the color. Is it really going to be tan and brown? That extra section on the right side of the render looks very 70's. Plus, between Kensington and Waterside Place, it's not as if Boston hasn't been getting its share of clunkers...

No new pics but looks like the core of this is already about halfway up

Maybe I've been blind or just trying to look away, but how long has the lighting been like that on the Kensington?

This will nicely hide some of the worst Kensington facades... so here's to hoping this one isn't worse.

this will nicely help fill in the gap between buildings from the back bay to downtown skyline

^Call me ignorant, but is it unusual to see sailboats on the charles in this type of weather?
