They could cover this building in aluminum foil and it would still be superior to what it replaced. As usual on this board, hasty proclamations of disdain preceed the finished product. The era of cladding buildings in fine marble and beautifully hewn stone are effectively over.

Just putting Terra Cotta on a building does not a good design make. This was not done well. It might get better but at this moment it feels a bit bunker-like.

Wow that glass went up quick -- I think it looks pretty good with the terra cotta. The new Dana-Farber Yawkey building is better, though. It does look like they'll be attaching some sort of material to the glass based on those window hooks. I hope I'm wrong.
