The yellow tube carries utilities. I agree that they need to be buried. Albany has a lot of potential for BMC to make more of a statement (especially if they continue to design buildings like this one) but everything will continue to be overshadowed by the bright yellow tube.
I think that if the glass they used were perfectly clear and not that bluish tint the building wouldn't bother me so much. I think the blue and red does not go well together.
This is a cool building, but it's overwhelmingly red. If it were any other color, it'd be much easier on the eyes. It's not so much the front of the building with the cool vented terra cotta, but the sides where it's just a giant mess of the stuff.
